1.- All good things are wild and free.
2.- there is not certainty; there is only adventure.m+2_tenedores_008

Buy one fork and three spoons: Check!
Write this post in english: Check!

Well, well… this one is one of the must scary parts of  the new M52 season… from now on I´m going to write also in english on this blog, which was one of the new year´s resolutions. My first idea was to «translate» the spanish part of the post… but right now I believe I´m gonna make both parts complementary. After all, make a good translation is not easy at all… and I believe  it won’t be as spontaneous as it should if I take the translation road… So please people… feel free to correct my grammar any time, maybe writing here will be the way to finally improve my english and learn new stuff… Like facebook status would say:  – 🙂 feeling hopeful.

So… let´s get started. Last sunday I got up early (early for being sunday I mean). At 9:30 I was all ready waiting the subway to get to the flea market, one of my must favorite places. I love to stop in each stand and check out what people is selling. There are incredible things. But this week I was looking for very specific things… I was looking forks and spoons, because my project M+2 is about to turn cutlery into bracelets.

I saw this idea  many time ago on a DIY board on Pinterest (I will allow myself to introduce you my own one following this link), but must of the ones I saw had a very twisted design I didn’t like at all… but taking that apart and only thinking on the main idea (cutlery turned into accessories) still seems amazing.m+2_tenedores_014

So, after have stopped in every single stand and dealing with sellers to get a good price on the spoons and forks, I was on my way home with some awesome pieces jingling in my maxi-purse. (SOOOO HAPPY).

Then I spent the rest of the afternoon destroying the first fork, and then making some bracelets. When I say «destroying», I say it because the first fork paid the price of being my first «forkcelet»… First of all I tried to blend the tines against their natural curve and of course I broke all of the tines… bad idea but great lesson. Anyhow, it put us on the good way, and gave us a clear idea of how things should be done. In fact, after the first failed try, the second was a complete success! I got my first bracelet done! And realized I´m going to need a lot of new tools and a better workshop than my living room, to do some of the new projects of this year.

Well, the final results of the project are two awesome spoonlets and one forkcelet. The spoons were a last minute decision at the flea market, I though they can bring a good result, and they did! I fact the ended with a very interesting shape, and also have a great plane area which is perfect to print something and I all ready have an idea for it. I will like to print two quotes (one for each spoon), by now the wining quotes on the list are:

1.- All good things are wild and free.
2.- There is not certainty; there is only adventure.m+2_tenedores_010

Feel free to make suggestions on the comments!

As soon I have them ready I will post some new pics!, meanwhile you can take a look for more pictures here!

Next week: Declaring (by myself) Taxes.
