*************

No nace nada.

Objetivos a cumplir:

Sun is shining, the weather is sweet.

M+7_Huerto_04Próxima semana: M+8 Una semana, un libro.

When I was around 12 year old, I used to grow a lot of tiny wild flowers on my window. Was a kind of little urban garden. I used to have a green thumb.

*************

Some of the challenges of this year are to finish some projects, that last year were a catastrophic-epic-fail (exaggerating a bit of course), and if it is possible to improve them. So this week I decided to re-try my urban orchard, where I planted some tomatoes an pepers, and added two flowers: the Bat flower and the edelweiss. (btw… I still owe a bat flower seed to my friend Silvia, who besides being an AWESOME artist, has a great urban orchard on her balcony in Barcelona… an orchard I really envy).

M+7_Huerto_03So going straight to the point, I prepared the seedbeds, and spent the days they last completely happy. But then… (here comes the cursing part)… A wild windy night came over and blow up the seedbeds… F*ck… again my urban orchard is gonne…

When I heard the noise of the broken glass I knew something was wrong with my seeds… I try to save them searching the soil… but no… they were all lost.

Status: Completely frustrated.

Ok… the next step here is: try this urban orchard thing one more time. Since spring is already here, I´ll try first to germinate hidroponically my seeds, then transplant them, and then GROW AWESOME TOMATOES! So, here my do it list:

· Get new some new glass containers to germinate the seeds.
· Put the seeds on them.
· Get new soil to transplant.
· Postpone the edelweiss plantation till next winter. And let´s see what happens next!I still dreaming on my homemade tomatoe jam, with my own ecologic tomatoes… and the wonderful breakfast I´ll have with my own homemade bread, and (spolier alert here!) my hand painted Tokio Mug (M+13) which is the very first step of a long term project: hand paint my own tableware! I all ready have some ideas for it… (feeling happy).

Next week: M+8 One week, one book.
